BHF Partners Host Open Houses
Family Resources and EveryChild, two recipients of 2023 Capacity Building and Service Support grants, hosted recent gatherings at their new and updated facilities.
Family Resources relocated their community-based and administrative services to 1414 W. Lombard Street in Davenport after 49 years on the historic Annie Wittenmyer Campus. According to Family Resources leadership, the move will allow the organization to be both agile and responsive to the communities they serve.
Better Health Foundation awarded Family Resources a $75,000 capacity building grant to hire a Chief Development Officer to spearhead their fund development efforts, leading to increased charitable giving and ensuring the longevity of the organization that has served the community for 174 years.
EveryChild, also a $75,000 grant recipient, invited visitors to their Child Protection Center in Muscatine, IA, to view the updated spaces, get reacquainted with staff, and learn more about the services offered at the Center.
The Better Health Foundation grant will support Forensic Interviewer and Medical Director positions at the organization’s Mississippi Valley Child Protection Center Program. The Center’s primary purpose is to work alongside a community based multi-disciplinary team of professionals to provide a unified response to child abuse.
